Summary 0000345: Ixus40: large clock skew (CHDK clock runs much to slowly)
Description I'm quite new to CHDK, but very grateful to all who have helped to make it happen.

I got CHDK ixus40_sd300-100k-0.9.9-911 running with autoload on my IXUS 40 without any problems at all - but I have found the CHDK-internal clock (displayed in OSD) runs much to slow compared to the camera-internal clock. If I display the clock with seconds, it seems CHDK-seconds last about two real seconds. This means the CHDK clock is OK directly after switching the camera on, but the clock gets rather useless with progressing runtime.

If I take a picture with the camera and then check the timestamp of the picture (in play mode or using file browser of CHDK), the timestamp is correct. If I display the camera time (press and hold FUNC/SET in shooting mode), the time is correct - and this looks especially funny compared to the clock in the CHDK-OSD alongside!

So, are there any tweaks possible regarding CHDK clock sync?

Cheers from Germany,
Simon
